About the Author

In The Majestic World it was said, "In creating interest in a book it is customary for the author to give a biographical sketch - typically with a picture looking wise, or healthy, or something other than ill. Publishers are completely in agreement with this custom." In the end I did not allow a photo. I must write and share despite my own aversion to publicity. As time goes by I will put that aside because storytelling is in my blood and my families blood, and I have spoken of this. "If asked, "WHERE DOES THE LOVE OF STORYTELLING DERIVE?", a possible answer is "before birth". I have to wonder because as a child I listened to stories of Hans Christian Anderson, Aesop, and a collection of Bros. Grimm until I wore out the recordings. Why? I'm not sure; perhaps my ancestors were involved. When I sat in Grandmother's lap she shared tales from pre-civil war days. So by my early thirties I was writing not because my HS teacher's encouragement or my daughters, but deep inside I understood this was the only way I would find any satisfaction in my life. Over the years as a husband and father of two boys and two girls I worked at various endeavors enlightening me about the nature of the human heart. (Engineer, entrepreneur, licensed teacher across the U.S., caretaker, newspaper, retail, and volunteer of various sorts.) In having traveled moderately to other countries it has struck me most is every society is full of great and wonderful blessings. All that has lost its value in one's own society to become mere habit can be changed, simply by spending time with people with different strengths from other societies. (With an open feeling.) I have been married to Margaret since our college days and our children and grandchildren are scattered from the east coast to the west coast in the U.S..
